Finland’s government is pushing through legislation which would see newly-arrived immigrant jobseekers receive lower benefits than other unemployed people.
The research found that a person of immigrant background loses an average of 4,000 euros per year after a serious injury or illness, while a native Finn loses about 2,600 euros.
