“We have moved on to a new nuclear age where, unfortunately, the role that nuclear weapons play has been increasing,” President Alexander Stubb said on Monday.
“Finland is, so to speak, trying to influence things from the sidelines. The big boys decide, and we try to contribute at different stages,” Stubb told Helsingin Sanomat.
Finland granted 3,697 residence permits to Russian citizens in the first half of this year, a historically low number but one which still raises questions, according to Iltalehti.
