The number of immigration-related applications fell in 2025 after reaching record levels in previous years. The government has imposed a string of stricter laws since taking office in 2023.
“The allegations in STT’s article are so serious that I cannot rule out legal action,” opposition MP Tytti Tuppurainen said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Almost 80 percent of survey respondents blamed social media for increasing stress, while more than one-third of them said they use social platforms over five hours a day.
“I have asked my ministry to draw up a comprehensive picture of what we know about children who are sent abroad,” Minister Anders Adlercreutz (SPP) said.
