Finns Party chair and Finance Minister Riikka Purra made the announcement at a surprise news conference, adding that the party hopes to choose a replacement next week.
The study revealed that loneliness leads to a multitude of mental health problems — especially among students, low-income earners, and people who speak languages other than Finnish as their mother tongue.
The legislative amendment follows last year’s decision by the European Court of Justice, which upheld a logging ban during the nesting season in Estonia.
