Finnish climate minister Sari Multala (NCP) said that the EU must present “a strong message” on a consistent climate policy in order to strengthen its competitiveness.
The Immigration Service (Migri) reports a large backlog of citizenship applications, many of them from asylum seekers who arrived in 2015 and are now seeking Finnish passports.
The move aims to make Finland more attractive to international students and returnees, while supporting those with limited Finnish or Swedish skills, the education ministry says.
“We have moved on to a new nuclear age where, unfortunately, the role that nuclear weapons play has been increasing,” President Alexander Stubb said on Monday.
